All the coal in China

China is fueling its phenomenal economic growth with huge quantities of coal. The environmental consequences reach far beyond its borders — China is second only to the United States in greenhouse gas emissions. Soaring electricity demand necessitates the construction of over 40 GW of new capacity per year.

Antarctica Melts
